Hello! I'm trying to create some sort of cropped pirate jacket and I sampled some jewelry from the game to add it as chains. I reassigned the weights to b_Spine0_ and b_Spine1_ and the mesh looks fine in Sims 4 Studio, but in live mode or CAS mode, the chains are... out of place, clipping and a bit crinkly? They move with the spine joints but I'm pretty sure this is a weight issue, I'm just not sure how to go about fixing it.

Hi. The chains must be rigged, vertex painted and uv unwrapped (in uv_1) just like the body + jacket underneath. You need to separate the chains and transfer weights and uv_1 from the jacket + body. Then just vertex paint the chains with 00ff00 - select the item, add Data transfer modifier, choose the reference as Source object, set the rest like in the pic, apply - switch to Vertex paint, paint the mesh with 00ff00; - select jacket+body, shift-select the chains, in Weight paint mode choose Transfer weights, set the settings like in the pic, then use Clean with All groups and Limit total;

So I'm trying to follow your directions, however for some reason on step two, I don't see the 'DataTransfer' modifier at all?

You are using a version of blender that is too old. Install 2.76b

So I don't have a 'reference' layer. Should I choose the studio_mesh_1 as the source object, since it is the mesh of the torso + jacket?

Hmmm... so I was able to figure it out the main issue using your directions. Thank you so much! I guess the only thing I have left is figuring out how to fix how the mesh looks on certain sims bodies, since it looks how its meant to on male sims, but distorts on feminine frames ;;;;
