I'm looking for a mod to increase the number of students that attend high school for the HSY EP. Putting it as a request too because I've searched everywhere and haven't found it. I feel that currently there are too few students in the school, making it look sad and empty.
Increasing the 'maximum sims in zone' in MCCC and using the 'More Sims' mod don't seem to work either, I suspect the number of students in high school is limited separately. I've tried editing the situation and situationdata myself, but alas, I have no experience so I ended up breaking the sims' behavior instead :(
If you know a mod that does this or you're willing to make one, OR you can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it! (though scripts are definitely outside my realm).
EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work, no scripts involved

Glad to see I'm not alone in this :D
I would just share the .package file here, but I don't know how to, and the file is specifically tailored for my game. In the meantime, if you want to have a go at it yourself, apparently you need to edit the XMLs starting with:
- situation_highschool (max_participant)
- situationdata_highschool (lower and upper_bound, under sim_count)
- job_highschool (lower and upper_bound, under sim_auto_invite)
Switch highschool to HS for graduation and prom. And don't forget to change "max sims in zone" through MCCC to higher than the amount of students you want, since you need to consider the faculty and staff.
I'll post the .package file when I know how to. I made it so that there's 30 students in the school, if you want it lower (or higher if you're a maniac) I can tweak it beforehand.

Thank God, you've solved it! I'm not a modder, and I dont think I would understand that universe at all - I'm afraid I'll break my game :D But to answer your question, about dropping the .package file here, you cant - sims4studio.com/thread/11329/send-package-files-onBut, the thread refers to Simfileshare.net, which there must me tons of guides to "how to upload"! 30/40 is a perfect amount for my gameplay - If you're uploading. There you go. There's two versions there, just download one of them. Both will make it so that there's around 30 NPC students, with 15 in each class (plus your own sim/s, don't forget!). The other version will also spawn two cafeteria vendors instead of one, in case you need it. A few notes though: - Don't forget, you have to use MCCC and set the "maximum sims in a zone" setting to above 30 (I recommend 35, since by default there's five faculty members plus staff in the school. Set it to 36 if you use the one with two vendors). - Be mindful of the simulation lag that might occur in your game. It wasn't too bad for me, but I've heard it depends on your PC's specs. The first version I made was for up to 50 students, and it didn't go well lol
EDIT: forgot to add, the mod should also increase students/guests in HS events such as prom, sports day, etc., but I haven't tested those yet

ou, exactly what i was looking for, i'm gonna test it right away, just yesterday i was posting pics about my classes as there were 6 students in one and only 2 in the other class. THX a lot, i hope it's gonna work.
edit: yep, that worked, one class got 9 students all desks are filled and the other too and the rest had to sit on the floor, lol. didn't expect that.
BTW all of 'em are in same type of clothing, any options to alter it?

Your welcome! Let me know how it goes BTW all of 'em are in same type of clothing, any options to alter it? Not sure what you mean by the same type of clothing. They just wear everyday or weather dependent outfits for me, like the original. I didn't modify anything regarding their outfits either, maybe you have some other mod that's doing it? |

I noticed at bug, with 2 vendors flavor. Both vendors spawn. But leave immediately, so no one can eat at the school. Also I'm having problems with career day. Everyday the game asks me to go to the auditorium to career day, even though its only monday, and scheduled on a thursday. All the students and teachers go - so i can't take the second class of the day. If i go to the auditorium, the lot is set up for career day, there are students, teachers and professionals. But they just stand outside. - I'm not sure, if the problem is related to your mod. |

For the first one, that happened to me when the high school cafeteria station is non-existent/not accessible. Make sure you have two in your school and that they're accessible by the vendors. Also, they have to be specifically the high school cafeteria station, not the other ones.
As for the second one, I can't speak for the career day itself since my test save was on Monday, but I've never had the career day notification bug and the teachers/students stay at school until the end of the day. Might be another mod, or a conflict. Maybe try deleting the .package and see if the issue persist?

They are all in like sport team uniform, cant insert a pic, but the top is the same pants are different, so from like 20+ students only two are in different clothing. |

You need to download the version with two cafeteria vendors, and add an additional cafeteria station in order for it to work. Also make sure you put your maximum sims in zone through MCCC accordingly so that they can spawn. About the uniform part, I can't recreate it in my game so I'm not sure what's causing it. That being said, if anyone is still looking for a mod to increase high school students but the one I shared isn't working, try this instead. Turns out someone more experienced than I is already making a similar mod, with more features too. |
