EA's avatar is black when imported in blender 2.79 and any other versions other than 2.70. Any ideas on how to fix it? It is really hard for me to work on this model. ibb.co/HYWws8p

Hi. Did you replace the skin textures of the avatar in s4s? Are you using the latest version of s4s? Make sure your game path looks like this. Also, delete 2.7, change blender path to 2.79, save, restart s4s, re-export the blend.

Did you make this file or is this someone else's? What do your paths look like? ibb.co/QNvdkZVThis is how everything looks, checked them twice to make sure everything is right. The only different thing that I see is that my blender is zipped instead of downloaded as an .exe but I have also tried that and it made no difference. I am testing it for my girlfriend because she is the one that makes content but she knows too little about computers and she can't understand english too well

Try adding \ at the end of the game path, save, restart s4s. For some reason the absence of \ prevents s4s from finding game files sometimes. When you click on CAS, do you see the items in the catalogue or is it empty?
and I didn’t get, is this your package (the one you made) or someone else’s? If someone else’s, the referenced files may be missing

Anything that I export from s4s is black, no texture no nothing.

- add \ at the end of the game path; - change the blender path to 2.76b ( no avatar at all means s4s cannot support 2.79 on your computer); - save the settings, restart s4s; - try exporting again
The problem is not with the game but with s4s not being able to reach the files, I assume. Please do not skip my questions and suggested steps, and do not take drastic measures like re-installing the game
did you replace the skin textures of the avatar? can you see items in the catalogue?

I can see everything, I mentioned that I did those but forgot to say that I did them before calling for help on the forum I will try 2.76b now. I can see items in the catalogue, all of them and I didn't replace any skin textures, I recently reinstalled my windows so everything is default

Did you create it with Create 3D mesh - CAS or did you get it elsewhere? ok try this: - install 2.76b, change the path, save, restart; - under CAS menu choose Create 3D mesh, click CAS; - in the search bar type “lingerie”, choose the item that appears, Next, name it something; - do you see textures in the list? - switch to Mesh tab and click on Export, open. Still black?

The tutorials that I use mention 2.79 but I cannot see the avatar there. Do I just need to switch from 2.79 to 2.76 for creating cc?

Yes, you can just use 2.76 for everything. They may be using a different multipurpose material in 2.79 but the old materials work just fine as well.
On some computers s4s works with 2.79, on others it does not. S4S developers do not know why. It just did not work in an unusual way in your case (2.79 should be able to open files exported for 2.7 and render the textures, you just wouldn’t be able to import them if saved in 2.79 )

I will try to get accustomed to this version Thank you for helping me!
