I want to preface this by saying I am a complete noob with Sims 4 Studio -- the sole reason I downloaded it was to change an eyepatch cc to a piercing or something so that I could have my sim wear both his glasses and an eyepatch underneath. However, whenever they are both on the sim's face, the glass texture of the glasses becomes the texture of the eyepatch. They both are on the sims face without issue, but now the glasses are more akin to leather-y looking sunglasses. I tried making the glasses a piercing as well, but no luck there. Does anyone know what may be the problem, and what, if anything, can I do to solve it?

The issue is that they share UV space.
They need to both be different types of accessories and have different UV spaces for sims to be able to use them together and for the textures to not overlap.
The only way to solve it is to UVmap the eyepatch to a different space in the accessory area - but you'd most likely run into the same issue with other accessories mapped in that same space, so choose area wisely.

Thanks for the response! I googled UVmap and it seems to be something using Blender. Is there a way to change the UVmap to a different space within Sims 4 Studio, or do I need to download Blender? I've never modelled anything before, so I don't really know how it works.

You don't need to model anything to remap it (the model is already done), and usually the UVmap and texture is done - all you need is to move them around a bit, and occasionally resize, depending on which area you want to use (this isn't too difficult). You do need Blender for this, and a texture editing program. There are several tutorials on UVmapping - this one shows how you can rescale and move one for an item that's already made (UV mapping starts from about 13:00, earlier if you need to know how to import to Blender. For the texture, you just need to reposition the original texture according to the new UVmap). Template is here: sims4studio.com/thread/62/fix-uv-map-template
