Hi there. I created a dress mesh in MD and imported everything in blender. The package itself is done, yet i'm having issues with the sims body having sharp edges and I can't get it fixed. I already tried to seperate the body from the dress and use remove doubles. Importing doesn't work since the studio automatically readds them back (I know why It's doing that), also merging the vertices by hand doesn't work either and I also tried to clone from different ea body meshes to see if every body has that issue and yes, they do. Oh and I completely redid the mesh as well. Now i'm asking how can I fix the Sims bodies so that they won't have the sharp edges/seams at their armpits/Legs etc? Is there even a way? Not being able to fix that means I wasted 2 days working on that lol. Because of the ugly look it has. I feel like other creators don't have that problem at all Sharing blend and packagefile: simfil.es/3419684/Thanks in advance!!

Hi. I can’t check the file to tell you the exact solution but here what you can do: - in edit mode select the whole mesh with A, Select - Select boundary loops. If the edges in those areas are being highlighted, the doubles were not removed. If no, then they were removed. If they were not removed: - in uv editor enable sync, select all uvs of the body, remove the doubles with merge distance set to 0,0001. You may have not selected the mesh the first time. Try re-importing in s4s; - if you re-import and nothing changes, in 3d view select half of the mesh and delete it. Save the file, re-import. The point is to see if the blend is being imported. If the preview does not update, undo the action of deleting, save, check if the version of blender you’re doing it has s4studio cas tools (and the mesh has the correct cut). If the updated blend shows up, it’s the texture
If they were removed: - clone any maxis item with open shoulders and zoom into the shoulder area. I don’t remember if they have this issue, but if they do, this is just a texture. Check the mesh in CAS to make sure there is no problem. You are correct about s4s splitting the mesh upon import but those edges are not shaded as sharp

First thank you for answering. When I removed doubles I checked with boundary loops if the edges are gone. They were indeed gone. Then saved and imported into the studio but the studio didn't show the edges as smooth, instead it was sharp again. It's kinda like the studio doesn't properly import sim bodies when remove doubles was used on that. I can see mesh edits in the studio though. Say, I used remove doubles and moved a vertice to actually tell that the studio imports mesh changes. It does, but the sharp edges are still there. Totally hard to describe. Creating a new mesh from scratch and import that into studio results in the same problem. I'm really at a loss.
I tried that with Blender 1.70, 1.74, 1.76 and 1.79 and it's the same with all 4 of them. Cut numbers are correct. The dress only uses 1 and it's set to GEOM 0000.

That is just a difference in the skin texture, not sharp edges then. You can check it in-game and everything should be ok you can also replace the default skin texture in s4s with the custom one

I'm actually using a custom one. But if it's just the texture then I'm relieved. Thank you very much
