Hello all! First time modder here and brand new to the forms as well, so please be patient with me as I am still learning!
I have been trying to import an XPS model that I found online as a full body outfit to Sims 4 over the past couple of days and need some help with some issues I'm having. I've been using the video tutorial at the bottom that I found on a post here that touched on how to import XPS models to Blender first. The video has been immense help, but it is up until I reached the part of the video that dealt with adding textures to the meshes (44:08 in the video) that I've hit a wall. She mentions getting the body textures from the base game so that you can put the texture for your mesh on that and line it up in Blender to the mesh you created, however, the texture being used by the XPS model seems to be different. When I followed the steps the way she did and tried lining up the textures with everything in the UV map, that is when I saw that the texture wasn't going to cover the entire model like she does with her mesh in the video. I revert back to an earlier stage of the file (the part where you create uv_0 and uv_1, haven't remade them yet) and am now stuck on how to proceed.
Am I missing something? Am I over complicating the process? Is there a different method of texturing a full body outfit than something like a top that is used in the video? I would really like to learn what I need to do next to properly get this costume working. (I'd also like to upload the Blender and model files themselves to help give better insight into my issue, but I can't seem to upload them here. Any help with how to navigate that would be much obliged. )
