hello! i have been making cc for a few months now and have a pretty good grasp, but i'm currently trying to create my first item with multiple mesh groups as I want to make it transparent. I have two meshgroups right now and i think i am supposed to import my blend file into an item that also has 2 meshgroups, but i can't find one, lol. I have tried so many different clothing items to see which only has two but somehow have not found a single one. ive tried to read some tutorials but i feel like i'm way out of my league here. can anyone explain this to me better? here's the blend file for what i'm creating, if that is of any use! drive.google.com/file/d/1mUezbPV5TQAKltqLcvpedFXTHcnnv9uK/view?usp=sharing

Hey! You have to add second meshgroup yourself, see this tutorial If you mean your whole top to be transparent you do not need to close holes, it's enoungh to make it double sided. When you put your uv map on sims arms uv space your top will show texture of sim body, place your top on empty not used by any body part space, probably need to make it smaller. Try not to use right bottom corner, people put there some different uv maps and it could overlap with your top. I see top have some holes in uv_1 in breast area, I think you should use top that have breast "covered" and is similar to yours not base nude top and use Nearest Face Interpolated option while data transfering You have some random weights here and there where they are not meant to be, transfer weights again from top similar to yours with Nearest Face Interpolated option, use Clean option for all groups and then limit total to 4 (if there is more than 4 weights for one verticle studio will remove them to get down to 4, so you can lose ones you need) You can delete meshes you do not use rather than hiding them with this "eye" icon :D delete rig.003 too

Just want to let you know that you do not have to make the mesh transparent through Simglass. Since it is skintight in most places, you can just transfer uv_0 and make the diffuse see-through. If you have the wedding stories pack, there is a dress called yfBody_GP11DressElegant that has similar to yours sleeves. If you were to study it, you'd see that the texture is more transparent in the shoulder-to-elbow area where the sleeves are tighter, and opaque where the sleeves are further from the body.

hi, thank you both for responding! i don't plan on making the whole thing transparent, but rather making it a sort of crochet style where there are fully transparent holes throughout. Does this process change with that being said?
