hi! i saw the cute little wicker bin that came with highschool years and was pretty disappointed it was a trashcan so i figured well hey, how hard can it be to turn it into a working laundry bin? turns out pretty hard if you don't know exactly what youre doing :p
i exported the wicker bin mesh (just for empty, full & half, no overflow since laundry hampers dont have that state, both lods, & shadowlods etc) and made a standalone recolor of one of the laundry day bins and just replaced that mesh with the wicker one. textures too of course. i noticed the trashcans have a separate texture space for the garbage thats inside it and thought oh good, since laundry hampers function the same-ish way they probably do too so ill just take the trash texture, replace it in photoshop with my own laundry texture, and be good to go! except actually the hampers & the clothing inside share the same texture space so now i'm not really sure how to go about it. like the way i have it now it functions in game just fine, the clothes go in, sims can take them out, no weird footprints, but it always looks empty. not the biggest deal ever but i'm very nitpicky about how things look and i want to improve my meshing skills wherever i can so i would really appreciate any help!! i'm not even sure if i went about it the right way to begin with, exporting and replacing meshes LOL just made the most sense at the time. some pictures BTW so you know what i mean about the trashcans textures, just in case i wasnt using the right terms :p
