Firstly, it's a pleasure to be on the forum, I just started modding today and i'm finding it fun so far Though for some reason I get the dreaded question mark all over one of my CC I was making a pair of shackles from Persona 5 and the one for the left wrist works fine, but the one for the right wrist returns the error above. Links are below so you can check the files, hopefully it's just me being a newbie lol Shackle (Left Wrist)Shackle (Right Wrist)
Many thanks in advance !

Hi. 1). The item should be affected by the same bones as the area of the body it covers, not with whatever has a similar name. For the left bracelet, double click on b__L_Bracelet_slot and paste b__L_ForearmTwist__ instead. Do the same for the right one but with b__R_ForearmTwist__; 2). Vertex paint both bracelets with black (000000) to prevent them from morphing; 3). The uvs in uv_0 should be in the space meant for bracelets.

Thanks for the assistance mauvemorn, but it still returns the same issue for some reason. I've tried making a new package file and retrying the steps but it seems to return the same error still. It's only happening with the right shackle so I'm thinking it could be something wrong in S4S

In the future please always attach the pics of the problem so that we would know where to look at. I check the file in-game and if you are talking about the checkered pattern, this is how the game is telling it cannot locate the referenced texture. Strange thing is that none of the textures are referenced. When the texture is deleted from the package, it remains referenced in CAS part. You cloned cc, so I guess some of that referenced leftover data is missing. To fix the issue just clone a maxis item and import your blends and diffuse there. There is no need for you to clone a cc for that. Alternatively, you can import blank textures drive.google.com/file/d/1e8TRGYwgKcxX02kLG0l23ymHvIFvEIBT/view?usp=drivesdk

jared9009 have you checked the size of your textures? I was always told that if you got the question marks on something when in the game, that the texture wasn't the correct size. And sure enough each time I've seen it and checked the texture was not in the correct ratio (such as 256x256, 512x51, 1024x1024, etc.)

Many thanks in advance ! It looks like you cloned something by Inabadromance, is that correct? Yeah, clone a Maxis item, instead. It's generally a very bad idea to clone other creator's items because their package file may not contain what you need whereas a Maxis item will. And, in case it wasn't clear, in the screenshot Mauvemorn showed it shows the HEX color number as 007F00. You want 000000. This will vertex paint the shackles black. Painting a CAS item black means it won't respond to the in-game sliders but it's okay, in your case. As for assigning bones (or joints, or weights. All of these terms mean the same thing), below is a chart showing what part of the body each bone corresponds with. And here is a list of all of the Sims 4 bones. It's a big image. I know. I'll try to put the image in a spoiler but I don't know what I'm doing, lol. Never used the spoiler feature before. Let me know if you can't see the image.
