Ok So I have been able to skirt along with my cc adventure with some really basic edits and have NEVER ran into this issue before.. I am beyond confused as per usual.
So basically I took a pumpkin harvestable, chopped off its lid and removed the bind to make it like a standard deco object. But when I try to make it an actual deco object using this soap as a base, the damn soap mesh won't go away. It is NO WHERE in blender, I am so tired of trying to find these mystery layers. This darn soap is completely GONE in blender but when I try to put the mesh in studio clearly studio disagrees the mesh is gone. The pumpkin does more or less show up sure, but that soap bottle should be gone and the texture should be applying to the pumpkin not the non-existent soap bottle. I put the blender file down below. I have looked everywhere for the source of the soap bottle. I have tried using other deco items, originally I used the pencil cup since techincally thats what I wanted to do, I wanted to create an empty utensil holder and give the inside of the pumpkin a deco slot , I can't even get to that part yet! I have swapped out a lot of meshes before and have never ran into this problem of an items mesh just refusing to change. Can someone pls tell me where I am going wrong when I have done this at least half a dozen times before? Is this some problem specifically because I used the harvestable pumpkin? I specifically wanted to use it so it would be the right shape and look well like a little mini harvestable pumpkin being used in a cute way. I removed all the parts of the rig that seemed to be related to the harvesting, it should just be a deco mesh. I have had problems before with UV maps, but not usually with this part. I felt safe doing this since technically I am only resizing the object so the uv map didnt need to change. T_T then this new problem came up.
Edit : As Im working on stuff I had this same issue when trying to convert a pumpkin into a light..I used the plumbob lamp as a base and could get the plumbob iteself to delete but the base, like the soap container is not disappearing. I can hide it sure but I would like it be gone like it appears ot be gone in blender. I got the vertex paint to actually more or less work and the only thing really wrong with the lamp is that missing base and some slight texturing issue I caused when trying to polishing the pumpkin to be a little less bumpy. When trying to do a simple recolor and mesh edit of the spooky bowl hand, the hand seems to be invisible in game and there is a pop up ghost coming from the bowl that I can't even find in sims 4 studio or the file to remove . I just want the claw im editing to pop out. All of these issue seem to be the same problem in a different way and if I can figure out one I hope I can fix all of these issues. Mostly the locating of these mystery meshes that seem to not be showing up in blender for me to remove them.
