The game is not generating thumbnails for cc stairs. It shows up in correctly in the build catalogue, but will not generate anything in S4Studio for me to edit. I would like to have a custom thumbnail like littledica does on his stairs (so I know it's possible). I've: - followed syboulett's tutorial
- deleted localthumbcache ...several times
- reinstalled S4Studio
- repaired my game
- made a new copy of the package file
- opened and re-exported it from TSRworkshop
I've made custom thumbnails for other build items before (and followed a tutorial from here), but those steps aren't working this time around. What am I missing? I would love some input!

HI! I can not help you on this right now, but I do know that with stairs and fences, this is a bit tricky to create since those are objects that aren't regulary possible to create from the catalog. Why don't you ask the ones whom already created stairs and fences? They are the ones best to ask. Both use Twitter and if you have Twitter you could ask them there. @syboulettecc and @littledica or you could ask in the tutorial section.

I've figured it out! I downloaded S4pe and opened the localthumbcache.package and found the generated thumbnails for each swatch of the stairs. (plus it had been freshly deleted so I didn't have much else in there...) I was able to save each image and apply the overlay I wanted in my photo editor, then I opened my stairs in TSR workshop and applied the thumbnails for every swatch, re-exported it, etc. It was a bit of a pain (there's probably an easier way of doing it) but I got the result I wanted! I'll mark this thread as solved so if anyone in the future finds it, they'll know what I did.
