Introduction
Hi, I have been playing Sims since the first edition and I love the game. I have occasionally made some recolor, or some outfits, mostly simple stuff.
However today I came upon something that is beyond my knowledge.
What do I have?
I have a kitchen with 4 counters; 2 of which are occupied by an oven and a dishwasher and the other 2 are the Left/Rigth End Pieces.
What is the problem?
The problem here is that my sims cannot cook anything, because the debug object generated in this process, I mean the Cutting Board, cannot be placed on an End Piece.
As you can see, the Cutting Board works perfectly well on a regular counter, but it doesn't work on an End Piece.
What do I want?
So, I want to get my sims to be able to use the Cutting Board to cook on the counter End Pieces.
What did I try to do?
1) Footprint size
The first thing I thought was that the size of the object might be too big, so I tried to reduce it in the easiest way I could find: "Adjust footprint to fit mesh"
Which was not going to work for several reasons....
- the resulting size was the same as the original one.
- I would later find out that the Cutting Board has the same size as any microwave.
Maybe it can be made even smaller in some other way? that could be a solution?
However, the microwave does fit in the End Piece (although it is in a different position)
2) Rig/Slots
While browsing the object properties in S4S I noticed that the Rig/Slots were different in a regular counter and its End Pieces.
So, I basically copy-pasted all these properties from one to the other, replacing them, to test if it worked. And... it's doesn't work
Help
I'm starting to run out of ideas and I think my lack of experience doesn't help.
What else can I try?
I get the feeling that there must be a simple answer that I'm not seeing.
