I'm following this tutorial: sims4studio.com/thread/20149/creating-animated-objects-interaction-tutorialBut it's way more than what I need, and it gets confusing adding extra things in. Is there any way I can see a way to do an object with looping animation and no interactions ability? I just want to make a simple object with a looping animation and nothing else. Thank you!

There are sure a lot of questions about animation lately! I don't know much about animation--just haven't delved into it as I have other projects I'm working on--but I do know that some objects, like a pinwheel, use a specific shader (I think it's called Instanced Pinwheel). You can look at the links in this thread to see if there's anything that helps. If you do a search on "pinwheel" there are multiple threads on this site.

Thank you for the response! (From all my search lately you seem very active and helpful in this forum ) I've seen Necrodog's tutorial but I live in a very loud house and even with headphones it's hard for me to hear him so I haven't been able to get fully through the tutorial. Thank you for the direction though!

I think it really does matter on what your trying to animate, an item that you click on some type of interaction and an animation sequence begins is totally doable to make a simple looped animation sequence does require a few steps. Would love to help.

Thank you for the response! (From all my search lately you seem very active and helpful in this forum ) I've seen Necrodog's tutorial but I live in a very loud house and even with headphones it's hard for me to hear him so I haven't been able to get fully through the tutorial. Thank you for the direction though! If you can't hear a video and if it's a YouTube video you can turn on closed captioning if it's available. On YouTube, below the video you'll see three dots. Click on that and then choose "show transcript." A little window will pop up with the transcript of the video that you can read. This helps when you're trying to skim through a video. You can click on a sentence in the transcript window and it will take you to that portion of the video. Unfortunately, it looks like Necrodog's transcripts are in Spanish and I can't see a way to change that even if I change the language of the closed captioning, but you can change the language of the closed captioning so that English words appear on the screen as the video plays. So there's that, at least. You can also change the speaker level on your computer. Assuming you're on a PC and using Windows 10, in your taskbar you'll see a speaker icon. Right-click that and choose "open sound settings." A window will pop up. Make sure Master Volume is turned all the way up.
