Hi all, I have recently installed the new S4S with new interface. I have noticed when I click on my CC items, it often freezes and goes into a full screen window mode. I have to constantly alt tab to get out of the screen. Older versions of Studio did not do this, I can't find a setting to help with this, does someone have any suggestions?
Why is it that some items constantly freeze the program to make it unresponsive? Any tips to help with the overall running of the program? I have a really good custom built PC and have always experience freezing and slowness with S4S but you get used to it when you use it as much as I do lol

Hi. What is the size of your mods folder?

Hey Mauvemorn, it's 67.5GB, although it's not always been so large and I've had the same issues of general slowness and freezing for a long time even when my CC folder was much smaller... Are you aware of the screen going into full windowed mode whilst loading? Thanks for any advice

If Studio is slow when looking at your files, you can try to move your cc into another folder and look at maybe 100 files at a time (I'm assuming you're trying to go through all of your files to weed out the ones you don't want). Another thing is to open your task manager and kill background processes that you don't need to be running. When my CPU starts running above 50% I have trouble. Your computer might be similar.
I just noticed that in settings in Studio there's a box with the words "remember window size" next to it. Is that box checked? If so, try unchecking it.

s4s always switches to fullscreen when you click on My cc. It freezes because your Mods folder is too big. You can try creating folders inside of it and moving cc there in batches. It will be faster than moving it elsewhere.

Thanks guys I moved my mods to a different folder on my computer and tested a small amount of CC, had no issues with freezing or slowness. I still believe the full windowed thing was not always the case prior to this update but that is caused from freezing. I'm going to use this method from now on

I have the same issue, sim4studio freeze with certain cc items, and i do not know why. It is updated, and my game is also updated. The size of the folder is not the problem, i have even tried with only those items in a subfolder, nothing else, less than 100 mb, still freezes. If i check those items using "my projects" instead of "my cc" it works perfectly fine, no issues. The items also works perfectly fine in game, i have no bugs. The size of the item does not matter, it can be quite small cc. The number of swatches does not matter, it can be only a couple of swatches and still freezes. It is always the same items, so it is not random. I have no other programs or tasks running in the background, other than the very essential windows tasks.
Am i the only one experiencing these problems? Any idea?
Thank you for any suggestion.

Interesting. All packages beside the last one are color slider compatible (use LRLE format, which is heavy and s4s struggles with it), but the last one isn’t. I’ll check this file once I’m on the computer to see if there is anything wrong with. Whichever the case, thank you for the links, I’ll notify the developers. just to be sure, you are using s4s star, right?
