Hello,
This is my first time posting on this site, so apologies if it is in the wrong place.
I am currently doing object conversions to other Sims games in which I want to translate them to as many languages as possible, so that everyone is able to understand/use my conversion like in the original game it was converted from. This has worked perfectly for Sims 3 conversions, as I am able to find the original language string files per object. However, I haven't been so lucky with Sims 4 and S4S, as when I look in the language string files, they are either empty or all in English.
Is there any way to get access to all original translations of an object via S4S?
Thanks in advance! CT04.

How did you handle language translations for Sims 3 mods? If you're looking for the TS4 string files they are in the data/client folder in the game's install folder (At least for the base game. The stuff packs and expansion packs have their string package files in separate folders). You can also use Studio's game file cruiser to access those files (tools > game file cruiser). Not sure what to do with the files after that but I think you'd be looking at making an XML tuning file. There's a tutorial here that may help. There's a post in that thread that lists the four-digit numbers for each language. It's the third post down. And step 13 lists what to do to make translations.

Sims 4 does not install other language files like S3 did. To access them you need to switch your game to each language, but this can cause duplicate folders and likely other issues. Other best option is that if you know someone with a Mac, I've heard they have access to all the language strings for some reason, but I can't guarantee if that holds true for all Macs or just the person I know.

Hello, Apologies for my late response. I had a busy week. As an reply to Fwecka (Lolabellesims) (Lolabellesims)'s response: I may have worded my question wrong (it was late at night for me, haha). I mainly try to convert stuff for TS2 and when I need text strings from other languages from TS3 objects, I am always able to find them. TS4 language strings, however, come up empty. So, my question was basically if I could find the languages strings for objects for all other languages somewhere instead of only the one I play the game in. To MizoreYukii : Ahhh, that's too bad. I sadly do not have anyone with a Mac around here (We're mostly Windows users) :( . So, if that is the only way to access language files for TS4 items, that would suck... Thank you both for your reply! CT04.
