Hi. Double click on ts4 icon and select something like Show in finder. This will show you where exactly the game is installed. The game path needs to lead to that location but end with The sims 4 (instead of The sims 4\Bin\Game where the .exe file is).
If you have two versions of the game, make sure the path leads to the installation folder of the version with packs
If it won't work, show us the settings please
I'm sorry. I do not understand your instruction. I am on a MacBook Pro. The file path to my game is User/Applications/Sims 4. When I start the game just when it tries to Index I get this error:
Sims 4 Studio 1.3.4.2 (Apple Blossom)

I have tried uninstalling and repairing the game and re-installing S4S, but it automatically sets the same path and there is no other Sims 4 executable app on my Mac. Someone else may have had a similar issue on their MBP, but for some reason, I do not have "permission" to post errors on the Mac support page nor see it to review other's issues or fixes. I'm nearly done re-installing the game & all packs to see if it helps
