When I export a mesh from Sims 4 Studio, there are random disconnecting parts of the geometry, like when I import my own original mesh into Sims 4 studio that when I click a vertex in Blender and press ctrl L, it's all selected, but when export it from Sims 4 Studio and do the same, it's all split up. So when I do MM hair edits and import it you can see all these shadows from disconnected geometry. Here's an example of a EA hair I exported and reimported into the game, I didn't mess with it in blender or anything but as you can see the geometry is disconnecting from one another and creating shadows.
What should I do. Do I need to export using another program? Or am I doing something wrong? Need to adjust settings?

Hi. I’m not going to go into details on why this happens, but it is normal and you can prevent it from happening by removing doubles. - in blender select one meshgroup, switch to edit mode, select everything with A; - Tools - remove doubles with Merge distance set to 0,0001; - do for all meshgroups
