I've been working on some cc for my Ancient Egyptian sim - some scent cones, like the ones commonly seen in New Kingdom tomb scenes.

Hey! I think it's your diffuse having too small borders of suitable color. You need to create bigger borders, cause now as game lower the size of your diffuse it starts to be too small for your uv, which then have nothing to put on mesh. But for me best way to avoid this would be to join top uv with rest of the cone, cause it still gives me some kind of weird texture issues the further I zoom out (I think it's because of how the mesh is divided). After you'll have all cone together in uv map (exept bottom part) then there should be no texture problems like this one
