You must not install s4s to the same location as the game. If you have the d drive, install it there. If no, install it in the default location with the Installer (in Program files)

I don't have a "D" drive. I received a new gaming computer for Christmas with Windows 11 It didn't install it where it usually installed. Then sometimes. I get an error
This is where my "Sims" are located "C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe"

The error within the image looks like a WinZIP error. Many people use 7zip (from 7-zip.org) which works just fine. Anyhow you are using the ZIP and not the installer so you can only unpack it to a random folder. It will not be installed at all which may be fine of course.

When I use zip form, I get the error, when I use the installer, it opens, loads, then when I click on a CC object, it close to desktop

Installing a portable version of s4s will not fix this issue, it does not matter which one you're using Your game path must look like this C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\ . Sims 4 documents must look like this If they do, try running s4s as admin

That's how it used to install...now, with this new computer, it doesn't even give me that path option! My Sims4 did not install in that path :( It installed in "C Program files/EA Games/The Sims 4/Bin/TS4_x64exe

When you are installing s4s with the installer, it offer you to specify the path where you want to install s4s.But since you do not have the d drive, it does not matter where on the c drive it will be installed. Just open s4s, click on Settings, select the current game path, paste C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\ in there.

I put it there and it still crashes to desktop when I click on any CC to look at :(
