Hi, Kinda new to modding and blender stuff. Still self-learning but I'm trying to convert a custom head mesh to use in sims 4. (Of course for personal use) First attempt I was trying to make sure the mesh appears in game and it did. It looks cursed tho XD Because I haven't touched the UVs and texture stuff. Second attempt now I'm trying to apply texture to the meshes, At first the UVs were overlapping and confusing so I unwrap it. The problem is the unwrapped version has too many parts (I don't know how to call it.) I'm not sure how to re-arrange them to make textures work in game. Any help would be appreciated! and sorry if my texts were strange since English is not my first language. (Please ignore the neck and scalp I'm still figuring how to connect them with original sim mesh.) Blender file WrapUnwrap

Hi. Would not recommend to go into that not only as a beginner but at all because it would be very difficult to make the head animate, morph and display textures as intended. If you will be satisfied with this item functioning as a hat ( not morphing or moving ), then: - open wrap blend; - first and foremost, delete everything that is behind the face, you do not need any of that. Make sure Limit selection to visible is enabled. Press B, click and drag to select the same area as in the pic; - Select - Linked, Select - Inverse, Delete - Faces; - in uv editor enable sync, select everything with A, UVs - Pack islands; - set this image as the background, press S Y 0.5; - re-arrange uv islands and put them in the space meant for the face, prioritizing the ones that need textures of higher quality; - create a new vertex group, double-click on it, paste b__Head__, in Edit mode select everything with A, Assign; - rename uvmap to uv_0; - vertex paint the mesh with black (hex 000000)

Good Morning, mauvemorn. I must say this is a very detailed guide! Thanks to your help I'm now able to delete any meshes that I won't use and now with the re-arranged version of UVs I can edit texture and it's working!! She's closer to the look I wanted her to be so I'm quite happy about it. However, there are still some bugs. I am a little busy to list them all, but I will update any progress when I have time. :D And Thank you very much again for your kindness and hardworking mauvemorn. I hope you have a great day! )
