Hi, Has anyone ever had The Sims 4 not update to the newest version, especially after it seems to have downloaded an update? It seems I'm still on version 1.66.139.1020! I've done a repair on the game, uninstalled EA app and installed the original Origin app. Which did nothing as you are forced update Origin to EA, no choice. Cleared the EA app cache as well hoping that would force something to happen. I have posted a help request at the EA help centre, and am still waiting. If anyone had the same problem and possible solution it would be greatly appreciated as I keep getting exception errors all the time!! Cheers

I had to click the download manager and download growing together which took me a minute to figure out because origin always auto-installed

Thanks for replying Sparkiekong. EA have disabled Origin to all extents and purposes, you just get a big splashsceen blocking the original app, telling you to update to the new app where I believe my problem started. In the EA app there is no way to download anything, you used to be able to update by right-clicking on the game logo in the library. I've actaully got the new game just the actual game itself is not updating as it did before and I can't find a way of manually making it do it.

Yeah, in the bottom left corner if there's anything to download it will be there. I had to go down there to update the new xpac. Click on it and it opens up a list of things ready for update or completed. Like steam's download manager, but not as good cause steam auto updates.
If not and you're still having trouble... I'd put in a ticket with the EA folks and have them help out. I've had kits not be recognized and had to have them look at the account and flag my account for the kit I bought. Maybe it's something like that?
I hate the new app, it's horrible and I was sad to have to change from Origin... especially since Mac users are still using it. I'm of a mind if it isn't broke don't fix it... but they want people on this stupid app. I've been calling it the EA crAPP.

I agree on the new EA crAPP lol, this only started when I changed over from Origin. I agree if it ain't broke don't fix it, but companies can never leave well enough alone. I have a ticket on EA and this is the reply after a week:
Hi UNKNOWN,
"We’re sorry to keep you waiting. We know it’s frustrating when you have a problem and need help.
We'll email you and update your My Cases page as soon as we have new info.
Thanks for sticking with us,
EA Help"
I actually told them my name!! I think hell will freeze over before I get this resolved!!lol Anyone else feel like the help desk is AI?? Their phraseology and syntax in the initial email was weird. Anyway thanks Sparkiekong, have a nice day as they say!! :D
