I want to share some tips because I notice a lot of cc creators don't optimize their object names for the search function in build/buy mode. The search is already pretty bad, but some creators make their cc even harder to find in game. For the sake of creating a good experience for people who want to easily search for your build/buy cc, here are a few tips:
1. Don't use square brackets around your creator / collection name! [Example] I see a lot of creators do this and it's not a good idea because the text inside the brackets is not searchable. It's very frustrating when I want to find objects by a specific creator, or view all objects in a collection.
2. Use logical descriptive words I just want to be able to search for "shelf" not "the immaculate" lol. If you must use a pun or quirky name, at least add a descriptor afterwards. For example: "The Immaculate Shelf". You can also use tip #3 below
3. Use vertical pipe to hide searchable text. Example Name | Hidden Tags Text after the | symbol will still be searchable, but won't be visible. You can use this to create hidden "tags" while keeping your object names formatted how you want.
4. Don't clone debug/live edit items. Please! If you want to use a debug mesh, it's better to import the mesh into a normal base game package. Yes I know you can simply make debug items buyable, but this doesn't change the fact that a lot of debug items are missing other random information that could make it difficult to find and use in game.
