Hello. Currently I noticed that there are several hair creators and some recolorists who used the texture referencing for their recolors, and I'm interested on learning how to do it. Unfortunately, the one link contained a tutorial about how to texref lead to the post which is deleted by the original poster. Can someone teach me how to do it?
Thank you for the help.

Hi. Could you please tell what exactly do you want to do? Make new maxis hair while using existing maxis textures? Or do you want to re-color one texture into 24 default swatches?

Thank you for the reply. Currently I'm recoloring hairs from the Cottage Living packs with simandy's puppy crow colors. I notice other recolorists who use other palettes state that some hairs are texref-ed and I'm interesting on learning one, but don't know how to start from.

I assume that goes for Alpha to Maxis match type of recolors. Regular recolors do not need any texture, they come in actions or layers You just do what the author describes in the post and it should be good
