I saw a post on Tumblr saying the most CC necklaces don't work on elders, so I decided to check my own CC. I always thought everything from teen up was basically the same frame with some small changes, but...
(4 EA meshes and 2 I made myself before I knew about the problem) Turns out it's not even just CC, there are EA necklaces that get as distorted as if they were designed for the opposite frame.
My question is, is there actually a way to design meshes so they don't get distorted on elders? Even if you flag the item as elders only, you can still only export the default adult body and it still has the deformation. (if I knew it was technically possible and I could post there I'd make a feature request for exporting elders)
Is it just trial and error? Less polys seems to work slightly better (the string of the bottom middle one isn't that bad) but it isn't always possible depending on the style. Not using a UV1 also technically removes the distortion, but it wouldn't respond to body size so you'd have to make several meshes to compensate.
One last idea as someone who knows nothing about making them, is it possible a preset/slider could remove the distortion but keep the same posture? That might be the best way for CC users since you wouldn't have to rely on the creators of individual items making them work.

Hi. The only way you can fix this without tweaking uv_1 blindly is to make this accessory for an elderly frame specifically. - in ts4 make an elderly person with the default body shape, no clothing; - using simripper, export this sim in the blend format; - open a blend with your necklace, append the exported sim, reshape the necklace; - import the necklace into a new package, change categories to work only for elderly people
