If you post the CC item you're trying to recolor (or PM it to me), I can check it in my Mods folder.

Please help me :( its the first time i run into this: The weird thing is that unlike the girl's dress that i made today and it doesnt work, the man's nightmare tee and the female's leggings were made by me long time ago, the tee still works but the leggings wont! The clothes appear invisible when camera is far from the sim and zooming closer, colours begin to appear pixelated. The meshes are ingame clothes so i theyre already inside the game and not in my mods folder, could it be this?

Are you using laptop mode? That could be a reason. Also when saving your diffuse, if you save as DDS don't forget to tick the mipmaps. Or export as png...

Hi bubblewands, the basic process is 1. cloning the custom content, 2. importing your new texture into the .package to replace the original texture (swatch), 3. saving the .package, 4. placing the .package into your Sims 4/Mods (your game file Mods folder) and making sure the original item you recolored is in the game Mods folder too.

Hi cookieeesims, you can make textures using a 2D editor. Please see one of the basic recolor tutorials for help learning to do that. In particular, the video tutorials by Brujah go over how to use a 2D editor.
Hi lolifan, I am not certain what kind of code you're trying to edit. Could you give an example?

Hi, I have an object texture that I would like to use on a body part. Is there a tut for that?

There are CAS recolor tutorials in the CAS tutorial section. If that isn't what you mean could you explain a bit more about what your project is?
