Thanks OrangeMittens for your great tutorial. I am off work on holiday at the moment following all your tutorials. Nothing else is getting done at all, ironing piling up, dust getting thicker....and the carpet is screaming to be hovered...lol  |

Hi dear i'm new and this is my very first try at recoloring! I did a picture of my sim and added a frame with the tutorial you had! I got everything going good after a few try's! The only thing is I made color swatches and the swatches show up in game but when I click the swatch to change to color nothing happens! I still have the same default color I made! Can you tell me what I did wrong? I'm really Thankful for all your'e help!! Thank you also for this awesome tool!
P.S. I checked the catalog numbers and they all match and I have only one enter item in game with all my color swatches! If that makes since! All colors I created show up they just want change the frame color! I also have the newest version of S4S I just downloaded it today!!

Hi breemiles, Merging packages together cannot make them work with the design tool yet. You can pick a different color before you buy it, but once you place it in the house, the design tool will not work with the merged ones. sduong25, Yes, you can merge a merged package with a normal one. |

Hi! So, when I merge the packages, I put it in game and my game won't even start. When I take it out, my game starts. Any ideas?

Will the game run with each of those .packages in it individually? The only .packages I know of that make the game not start are ones that have been edited with s4pe. That tool has a known bug where it will cause the game to not start if a .package edited with it is placed in the mods folder. When Studio merges .packages all it does is take all the resources of the individual .packages and put them in a single .package. If any of those resources are broken it will break the entire merged .package.

Well Andrew I checked in game a few ago to see if the color would change the frame I made before I placed it on my wall! I got the same thing the colors still never changed when I pick a swatch color, it stayed the same as the original frame I made! So it's back to the drawing board for me! I will have to read more forums to see what i'm missing or not doing correct! Thanks dear!

I've actually gotten it to work! Unfortunately I tried merging over 6,000 files and it takes to long so I had to stop it :(

This is a really useful tutorial, thank you. I used SP4E for it previously, but I took some time off from TS4 and S4S has really come on in leaps and bounds since then. Thanks for all your hard work.

I didn't have the time to let it run :( I think every night when I go to sleep I am going to merge 1000 files so my game gets faster. My Sims 4 takes longer to load then my Sims 3 because my files aren't merged!

Hi meganrose, in a future update of Studio hopefully the process of merging can be made more streamlined so it will run more quickly for people merging large numbers of files. |

This has been a LIFE SAVER! I love my custom content, but after 2k files my game stops loading. I'm on a mac so this is a common issue. Thankfully, I'm able to run sims 4 studio on my parallels and drag files back and forth to merge them allowing me to have A LOT more custom content =) THANK YOU!
