As a "recolourer" and builder (new word) - it's files that have NO creator info. This was forgiveable in Sims 2 - but it is MOST unforgiveable in Sims 4. If it's not in the file name you would think with the awesome description thingy people would put their creator name in. And it is now so easy with the My CC feature of S4S to quickly view object info. I append every file I download with the Creator Name so my head doesn't explode when trying to do CC lists. Also trying to keep track of CC when creators change their names and TOU constantly. Not that S4S can change THOSE problems! Unless you add a step at object creation that automatically forces creators to enter a preset creator name and somehow internally tags the file - a bit like Simpe did? - and then make that something that can be read by MyCC oh yeah and consults a TOU database and automatically selects Clone or Standalone AND sends me a link via Email of the original object upload .....and then comes to my house and does everything including my housework? =)
Aside from all that? Swatches definitely. It's sooooooo nice to have the creator thumb overlay feature I LOVE IT

i don't like: To be in the, "Mood to Mod", but no ideas - And on the other hand, have a Great idea but not really be in the, "Mood to Mod". When the Feeling, and Idea come together...it is Great Fun!

I was re-texturing and some meshing for The Sims 2 One of the last things I've done for The Sims 2 six or even 7 years ago. Now I see flaws but back then I liked it. but then I moved to another country and for 6 years didn't have a time to practice my skills in 3D environment so I basically lost my skills in 3Ds Max, that's upsetting and I can't find a tutorial for meshing in 3Ds Max (I saw just one about making earrings but definition is too low, I don't see anything in that video) and I don't like working in blender (sorry creators of Blender), just can't stand it. When I decided to re-texture for The Sims 4 I was unpleasantly surprised about 1024 by 2048 main texture and that if creator wants to add a new subset, he/she needs to place UV-map somewhere on that small part of the texture where nothing else placed, so basically creator can't make a big subset because texture will be super-stretched. Another thing that I hated recently it's texturing EA meshes. When I drew a strap, it appeared wider on the chest and thinner on the clavicle, so I had to draw it thinner on the chest area. I don't remember such issue in Sims 2. And the last part that I don't like that if you want to add bump-maps you need to include the mesh in package and not every creator allows it. I am done whining :D.

I've tried to do the blender thing in the begining using a lot of orangemittens 's tutorials, but the terminology and the UI of blender threw me off as well as being more time comsuming than I was willing to put into it so I gave up.......but will eventually try again sometime in the future as this recoloring is getting old and most simmers prefer new items as opposed to recolors including myself. And then there's still the Photoshop learning curve, but I seem to learn a few new things and/or more efficient ways of doing things every week, which is a good feeling. The in and out of game is the most Annoying thing to have to do when doing the premliminary testing, the screenshots, the catalog thumbnails, then back to testing to make sure everything is correct before sharing your post and then completing all of the screenshots for the post (which I always make way to many). If it weren't for this wonderful S4S tool and all of the great features (espcially the color picker and catalog thumbnail overlay) I most likely wouldn't even try to recolor anything even with the other tool that is out there for us to use. You know what else is cool? All of the wonderful, friendly people here who so generously give of their time to help anyone in need!!
