Hello, I downloaded a package file made for sims 4 and tried to open it in S4S and I got this error message:

The Sims 4 Studio - Version 2.7.0.9

I own the Sims 3, but not the Sims 4, so that is where my game file path is set.

Can anyone please tell me what this error is about? I'd really appreciate your feedback!

Thanks for replying. Can you please be more specific? Like is this specific error showing up because the game file path is set to Sims 3, or am I just on the wrong forum since I don't even have sims 4 yet?

This specific error is showing up because Sims 4 Studio is for Sims 4. If you downloaded a CAS item for Sims 4, Sims 4 Studio still needs the Sims 4 model data to open that .package and display it on the Sims 4 model. It will not work with Sims 3 because Sims 3 has a different model that Studio does not recognize. If you do not own Sims 4 then Sims 4 Studio will not work for you.
