Hello everyone. I've been decorating my small household's bathroom when i noticed how absolutely drab the EA bathrobes are. I wouldn't even call them that. One recolor is black and looks nothing like a bathrobe, more like some kind of a cultist robe! Something fluffy and soft that feels like you're wearing a towel on your entire body, that is what a proper bathrobe is, I know this because I've been to a hotel once! Anyway, I tried to recolor it to have something more appropriate, but the texture turns low res in game and doesn't look as fluffy as it should. I think it's also the mesh being kind of simple that makes it look... well not 100% soft. Still, I think it's a bit of an improvement. But now that I look at the picture, I'm not liking how flat and unfluffy that towel there is!!! Has anyone else made any bathroom stuff like this? Usually what I find on the web is new sinks, bathtubs and soap/shampoo/etc clutter but no fluffy, soft-looking items.

That looks great. Would you share it? I made an attempt to have fluffy blankets on the beds I did.

I got so excited I had to make some too. I would still love to have yours too if you would like to share though as they are different from mine. Thanks for the ideal I will mention it on my tumblr post.

That bed look just made me realize how badly Sims 4 needs new carpets, actually. There are just 3 default options in game!
As for my robe, I'd gladly share it somewhere, but since I'm a perfectionist, I might have to make a couple more recolors first! :P Wouldn't wanna inflict half-finished inferior content on anyone's game. heheh
Also the inside of sleeves on this one is still default grey, because I was super lazy, after how long it took to just get the fluffiness to look ok. I'll have to fix that too. (Well i doubt anyone's gonna look there, because it's only visible from, like, frog perspective, but still, A PERFECTIONIST HERE!) :P

I made this bunch. Not sure if they're any good :P I was experimenting with some textures and came up with something that looks like caramel with chocolate syrup, I had to include it, just in case, for those food-loving sims :D I also tried to make one with a hearts pattern, but i didn't wanna place perfect-shaped ones, so i deformed them slightly, but in the end the object mesh deformed them further, and now they look... well who cares, I'm too lazy to delete it now :P I think a yellow robe was much needed due to the fact that EA forgot to add rubber ducky to the game. SERIOUSLY, EA!! So perhaps my robe will fill that void. I didn't change the item description or price. Enjoy! :D Attachments:bathrobe.package (996.02 KB)

Glad you like them, serenagarith.
I really wish I could edit the mesh to give them a little bit extra fluffiness, though. Maybe the future versions of Sims 4 Studio will allow 3D modifications. But if that happens, I will probably never leave my computer desk, haha.
I know right now it works for CAS items, but I'm really not all that into hairs, make ups and fashions, even in real life. My sisters know all the girly stuff while I only recently discovered hair spray... yeah :P

All of them? Or is it missing some swatches? I can't see them in S4S but they show in my game. Let me check that again.

That's cool. I thought I messed something up. If you need more colors in your game, feel free to just edit my textures with some color overlays.

Nope you did fine. For some reason my game was showing that they were all pink. When I opened my set of robes they were all red. Not sure what happened but I reset my game and cleared my Cache and now they are working. I really like what you did with the swirls and the hearts. I wanted little playboy bunny logos but wasn't sure how to distort them so I went with fluffy robes with silken ties and such.

The game does weird things sometimes. I have to clear my cache often when working on items and checking what they'll look like in game, for me the thumbnails get stuck. Especially weird with the cabinets recolor I've been working on.
As for the bunny shapes, that shouldn't be too hard. What I did with the hearts was actually make super simple vector shapes. I made those out of just 2 circles, then just moved the anchor points a bit to create a few different versions, and put them all over the default robe texture before making that fluffy look. I'm pretty sure you can just easily trace that bunny shape with pen tool, then edit it, or maybe you can find that shape already somewhere on the internet. I don't recommend editing non-vector objects, you might end up with stuff that's too blurry, weird pixely looks, and so on.
