Hi, I've been creating cc for a little while now, I started recolouring just for personal use a few years ago. More recently (last year or so) I began creating/editing meshes and posting my projects online. I'm working on a mesh at the moment to make a Turtleneck dress. I edited a base game mesh which I shortened and then added the neck detail. It looks great in blender and in S4S but once I load in CAS it goes wrong. I have had this problem previously but usually manage to find a way to fix it. (not really sure how. haha) The issues seem to be in the neck section and the left thigh. I've looked through some information on the forums but still can't seem to fix it. I was wondering if anyone could help me fix it. I am using Sims 4 Studio 3.0.1.1 (Harmony) and Blender 2.78 I have uploaded the blender file, texture file and package file at the below link www.dropbox.com/sh/psc9dvgksvbdm7m/AAD5WuMPOcsJzrTMLYc9w1OFa?dl=0Thanks in advance for anyone who many be able to help P.S. I'm a big fan of Sims 4 Studio. T hose who help make it possible are so talented!!

Thanks Merman Simmer, I just downloaded it and opened it up in game. The neck has been fixed, but the leg is still shooting off. Your image shows it fixed, is there something wrong on my side? Would you be able to explain to me how you fixed it? Regards Mel

Merman Simmer please see the quote below regarding the above post. Introduction ...
If you decide to help someone else, please do not just fix their item and send their completed project back to them. People post here because they want to learn to do the project themselves. It's fine to make fixes to something and test it before answering but let the OP go through the steps you took yourself on their own. Providing a little boost in the form of a partially fixed item that can serve as an example so the OP can continue forward is fine too but just doing the whole project for someone isn't the idea of the Creator Help section.
... Full thread HEREmeleb This sounds like the package posted above was only "fixed" on one LOD (level of detail). Depending on what settings you use (for example you use MEDIUM and the screenshot was taken on ULTRA), you will see a different LOD. Most of the time when there are "spikes" on the mesh it is due to a bone weight issue. You can easily fix those with my weight transfer tutorial that wingly posted above. If you use lod 0 to replace lod 1 in some cases that will cause weight issues in the game, they won't show in CAS because there's a 1:1 match bone-wise. Merman Simmer What settings did you use when you took the screenshot?

Hi brujah, I have previously looked at that tutorial and it did not look like it changed anything. I've given it another go today and realised I had to select each vertex group to actually transfer the weight. However this actually caused more problems than it solved and the leg still shoots off from the body. I think the problems stems from the mesh I started with as the dress was longer and had no upper left thigh. Therefore when I copy the weight it has nothing to copy over. This is the mesh I started form: Compared to now: The neck issue is kinda fixed but I think this may be a combination of vertex paint and the weights. Is there anything else you may be able to suggest? Thanks for your help.

I just noticed something missing from my tut. You shouldn't have to select each bone to transfer, at #5 use the settings in the screenshot: Group and Replace set to All with nearest vertex Method. Also If needed you can append the nude mesh legs and frankenmesh them together ( tutorial) after the weight transfer so you wouldn't have to do any of that on them.

Okay, I'll give the weight transfer another go and see if it solves the problem.
I already appended the nude legs onto my edited mesh. I might take a few steps back and review the steps I took. I'll let you know how I go.
Thanks again.

Use as a clone of a short dress. The problem should go away.

Hi all,
Thought I would update the post.
I tried the weight transfer again which didn't fix the problem. I also tried using a shorter dress mesh to replace, this also didn't fix all the problem.
Instead I started the mesh again and tested in game more often. The problems didn't return with the new mesh. So I'm not sure what happened the first time but everything is all good now.
Thanks for everyone's tips and trying to help me fix the mesh.
