Okay! So I figured out how to change the UV so the texture is in the hat space but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get this thing to behave like a crown and not a hat. I compared my package to a few other flower crowns and I don't see any glaring differences. package / blend file
I'd really appreciate any and all help on this one!

The method g1g2 is the easy way and most of the time the most reasonable. But If you don't feel like cloning again, I will just add that the hat functionality is given in the region map. You can edit the region type and change "Hat B" or whatever hat it is to "Base". Also the "Layer" to 0. This way it will remove the chop hairs.
