hi! so I am having problems with some cc I've created, I cloned an accessory category bodysuit from another creator and pressed "Create a 3D mesh" with it in S4S.. and added all my textures to it / replaced their textures with mine but ikn create a sim I am having the question mark on the body.. can anyone please help me or check out my file please? I thought including a mesh or cloning a mesh for create a 3d mesh doesn't require you to have the original mesh since you aren't recoloring.. LINK

Does the original file work correctly in your game? If it does and you want to replace their texture anyway, you could just add them to the original package instead of making a new one.
Also, please upload the .package and someone will take a look as to why it might not be working.

hi! Please read the following. If you use the "Standalone Recolor" or "Add CAS part" feature the original mesh .package will be required in order for the your recolor to work. It might show up for you because you have that .package in your mods folder already. You need to check the creator's TOU allows including the mesh or not. If it doesn't you can provide a link to the orignal. If it does allow it, you can try using the "Create 3d mesh" option. And once you cloned the original .package using Studio, be sure to pull all the original mesh resources using this feature: EMBED ALL EXTERNALLY REFERENCED RESOURCES (CAS) Doing this, your new recolor won't need the original .package and it's mesh. In your particular case, a bodysuit doesn't have any mesh. It's just a texture painted over the body. I would clone a cas item (you can check in which category the original is) and just import your textures. Base game and no requirements.

Have you followed Inabadromance's quote? Your .package has no geometry resource so if you don't have the original .package you cloned it from in your mods folder it won't work. This is because you cloned another's creator .package to make your own.
It is fine to do that but you need to remember that if you want your .package to be independant of the original you need to pull all the resources. Use the quote above to see how to do it.
Also, since your bodysuit is only painted over the skin, you could simply clone an EA cloth to base your own. This way it won't need the geometry pulled into the package since it will be included in the game already. You can, for example, clone a swimsuit and import your texture. Then recategorize it using the Tags in Studio's tab.
