Hi. I'm busy with small fish tank slightly bigger then EA round fish bowl, mine is not round but rectangular and in game silly fish floats outside the glass. To make the fish tank bigger is not my plan, so maybe there is any way to teach the fish to swim just left and right direction but not the circles?

Ok)) this is a pic.  Gold fish in a middle - animated fish and it's swim in circles, can I do anything to force it to swim according to shape of a fish tank? 2 other fishes part of the mesh they not animated and boring. Any suggestion? ...maybe it is possible at list to add some effect/animation/movement to those static fishes? |

I love the fish tank! it looks beautiful :D
I'm not sure if editing effects or creating custom effects is possible yet.
are You sure that it's an effect used here? not an animated object?
if it's an animated object then I believe that You can edit the animation for it, but not if it's an effect.

I think you right, it is an animation I'm stuck with. The fish our sims able to add to fish tanks in game if they want to. I can't figured out where to look at this tuning or so. I have tried to move rigs but no luck. I pleased about tthe water moving correctly but added fish swims too wide.
So guys it is still not solved problem for me.

What about using the animation for the fish tank rather than the fish bowl they look like they swim from side to side?

I was thinking about that but didn't give a try yet because I guess fish will swim even more out of the shape of a guitar. I will have a look what will happens if I scale big aquarium down! Thank you for idea;)

Hi Xelenn, First of all I really like the idea! It looks very good! As for the effect/animation... (It's an effect as far as I know, but I also call all items I make that have effects "animated objects"  ) ... anyway... The effects>fishes used in fish tanks are bigger then those from fish bowls. Also the animation of it.. I get really confused myself now with these terms....is a bit wider in the fish tanks then in the fish bowls. So replacing those effects won't make it fit your guitar I think. Changing colors or the animation of the effect it self can't be done yet. We haven't discover yet how those things work. What you can try though is going into the rig section and then select the fx line. Then try to play a bit with the scale of the effect. Probably it now says 1,1,1. Change it into 0.5,0.5,0.5 for example and see if it makes any difference. The thing is that your fish will become smaller maybe, but the circles it swims too probably.
