I want to do a recolor of a painting but I want it to show up as an additional swatch of an EA painting instead of as a new item, how do I do that?

hi! This tutorial is for walls, but the method is the same. First you have to clone the object using the "override" option to know EA's original prototypeID, since that changes once you clone using any of the other options to have it be independent. After that, copy that code onto all the catalog entries from your item.

Oh! I saw this tutorial but thought that it was a different process for the objects. I'm going to do that then, thanks so much

Sorry, I might be a bit of a slow learner but in the tutorial it says the PrototypeID has to be pasted in the 'Wall' resource (in the warehouse) but since I'm not doing a wall that's not there and there's no resource just saying 'Object'. Where do I have to put the PrototypeID? I'm doing a painting right now.

hi! You have to copy EA's prototypeID on the same place you found it but for your item.
Warehouse > Object Catalog > prototypeID.
