MisterS I saw your tutorial and tried creating the normalmap using your method in addition to my own. Everything I've tried has resulted in this weird seam down the exact middle of the object. As if the bumpmap has only decided to raise the left and has left the right side entirely covered in shadows. I can minimize it by blanking the bumpmap but it's still there and the right side still remains shadowed. The mesh is perfectly symmetrical so I'm not sure what's causing the seam. Hoping you or someone else here has some insight.

Have you changed the specular image as well? If not, that can be one cause of this. Share the .package and someone can take a look.

Yep, the specular has been changed to match and when testing, the issue did not seem to reappear until I added the bumpmap back in. Here you go. drive.google.com/open?id=0B6Xb3Kh8JKrHQUk4S0Q4bXdyZEEThanks.

The alpha in the bump is wrong, yours is just black and white. Have a look at the alpha in a default mesh and you will see what I mean. I can show you how to make one in photoshop but if you are using something else you may not follow as i have no idea how other programs work with the alpha layer. edit - I made a rainwater tank a while back, this is what the bump looks like

The attached bumpmap was just me testing to see what was the cause of the seam. Below is the package with the actual original bumpmap. (link has been updated). I used your tutorial with the shirt to create it but the seam is still present. drive.google.com/open?id=0B6Xb3Kh8JKrHQUk4S0Q4bXdyZEEThanks

The alpha is still wrong on the bump, I just made this from your texture. It needs to look like the one on the left. If you are lost on the step to get it right post again and Ill explain it differently Ps - I need to know what texture editor you are using

I'm using photoshop with the Photoshop Filters -> 3D -> NormalMap Filter. From there I just did what your tutorial said, copied the red channel to the alpha and then copied green to red and blue. If you could tell me what you did to get the above image that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks.

MisterSOk I had to go in and drastically change the values in set in the normalmap filter. Everything appears to be working now. Thanks for setting me on the right track.
