Hello, I could use some help in figuring out why three stackable dish files I made recently cause some games to crash. I can't duplicate the problem in my own game! But here is a message I received about what happens: "the stackable items gave me some errors (red box with text "can't find object") after being stacked and trying to move them, and upon trying to delete them it caused the game to crash" I have specified that the items must be stacked first on the floor and then moved to their final location (that is how it works for me, and I don't even know why that is. Perhaps I shouldn't have shared these without that information!). If anyone would like to help me remedy the problem I would be most grateful. I uploaded the offending files to the link below.

Thanks in advance for taking a look. I thought I was so clever when I made these but apparently, I am not!

I've run into this issue trying to make stackable items before and (to my knowledge) there's no solution to this problem yet. The only "fix" I've found that works is to go to the map view/neighbourhood view once the item starts throwing up the "can't find object" message, and when you go back to the lot the item will have either reset itself or will have been deleted by the game, and the crash won't happen. In my very unscientific testing, the error only comes up when the item tries to jump up to a "slot" that doesn't actually exist in the world, and this only happens under weirdly specific circumstances, which is probably why you've never seen it. I also have yet to find a stackable object made by any creator that can't be forced into making this error, so don't worry, it's not just you.

Thank you so much for letting me know that I'm not the only one. May I quote your "fix" information on my tumblr post about this? I can let people know there is a semi-solution if they run into a problem with these. Thanks again for your help!

Sure! I don't think I mentioned though that you need to not save before going to map view, as the error usually causes the game to crash if you save before doing the trick to get rid of it. (Also I'm not the one who discovered this; mlyssimblr@tumblr is the one who let me know about this fix! c:)
