This happens because you assigned your katans to different bones and bone weights. To stay straight they need to be fully assigned to only one bone. here I guess one of the spine ones. Then, full weight. That means: In weight paint mode, your katans should be completely red for the chosen bone. Meaning they are fully assigned to it.
You might face some clipping sometimes then though ass it will be a solid object with a single origin on a moving body.
