Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, and was hoping someone could tell me if it's possible to make a custom mesh bed? (Not the kind where you export an already made mesh bed and altar it without touching certain key points.) I want to start from scratch, and rig the bed, and upload it as my own original piece of art. Is this possible? If so, can someone point me to a tutorial? Thanks in advance QT

You should be able to create a mesh for any EA object, including beds. Since EA animations etc. relate to positions of sims and rigs, my suggestion would be to create your mesh and import into a clone of existing EA bed. I believe what you are asking for is a tutorial on making a mesh. There are video tutorials on the web teaching different aspects of using blender or other mesh creating programs - Bakie does several. No idea of a bed creating tutorial.

Ah, okay, I see. Could you point me into the direction of how to take my mesh and import into a clone of existing EA bed? (I'm new to working with Sims 4 CC - I've worked in Secondlife making clothes, clothing rigs etc) so I have the idea of how to make the items, just not how to rig the meshes I make to work with The Sims 4 client. I didn't know if there was some special steps needed, or what. Most of the tutorials I see for the sims 4, is people taking already made items and using them to altar the (headboard), (Pillows) etc. I want to make the entire thing out of scratch, and possibly even altar the shape. I just don't know where to start by uploading it and having it work properly within the client, there is always some catch, or difference. Thanks again

There may be special issues and problems importing a mesh. Once a mesh exists it doesn't matter if it was frankenmeshed or made from scratch, although both can have issues. There are several tutorials here about mesh importing. Basic overview is that you need the same number of mesh in each LOD in the item you want to import as the item you are replacing the mesh. Kind of hard to describe so here's a pic shows 2 mesh, barrel and white footprint square Hope that helps
