I really like these type of things, the only downside that i've found is that they turn out very (very) high poly mesh... so that should be an important warning to detail when sharing them.

There is no link here but I think I know what you are talking about. I use the same method for making most of my meshes in 3DS Max and export paths from Photoshop in .ai format. It takes tons of time to clean out the mesh from extra edges and vertices since there is no reason giving 1700 polys to a simple mesh like this (I started with 1700 polys and cleaned it out to 380). But still easier than mesh everything from let's say a plane or any other standard primitive.
