Hello I want to save a .dds picture with exact color code so I can use the eyedropper tool in Sims 4 Studio to create the swatches for hair. They have to be exact so when I change the hair, it's still the same color. So I created a .dds file with all the color (I used the exact hex code I needed) but when I saved it as .dds, it changes the hex code a little, which makes the game not matching the swatches. For example, I need this color (#4E3B2D) so I create a palette in Photoshop (I even tried in Gimp but it's the same issue) and when I save the dds it changes the color to (#4D3B2C). It's almost the same color but it's not exactly the same and the game notice it :/ Do you know a way to save as .dds without losing the color quality ? Thank you in advance !

Hi Shimydim. Try saving in .png instead. DST in highly compressed format, so expect quality loss which can affect the color. Unless it's a plain texture with no shadows, creases etc.

Can you screenshot the settings when you're saving as png?

I don't use gimp so i wouldn't know how to change it. But i usually save for web. And in that last screenshot you have to click compression "none".

Thank you, I have changed the compression Anyway, even with the Save for Web, I still don't get the exact color EDIT: I have fixed the issue, I get the exact color code on Gimp and Photoshop for the same color file, so the fault is not from the .png. But I still get the wrong color in Sims4Studio, maybe it's because the eyedropper isn't powerful enough to recognize exact color code :/

Isn't it possible to manually paste in the colour codes you need when changing a swatch? Or am I misunderstanding? Click on the swatch colour selector and under where the colour picker wheel appears there is a box to type in colour codes.

When you import diffuse textures they are converted from .png to .dds for the game, so picture gets compressed again. As menaceman44 is the best option.
