Hi! Whenever I solidfy my mesh, it always turns out shiny in my game. How would I fix this? It's only shiny when I solidify, it doesn't do this normally. imgur.com/z7TDgx2

Hi. I suspect that it's overlapping geometry. When you solidify the mesh create inner part of the mesh which appears too close to the top part. I would suggest creating inner part by using another method.
1. Clone your main mesh. 2. Scale it down by 0.001 (or smaller, I don't remember exact number). Just make it tad smaller 3. Flip normals.
This way you won't have to deal with overlapping geometry, and won't have to split edges.

Thank you, Feyona but I don't understand. Is there a tutorial on this? I've never cloned my mesh before, scale or flipped normals.

Hi! this forum is focused primarily on Sims 4 Studio. We do not teach how to use X programs. You should have a basic knowledge of the tools of the program you're using. You can find many video tutorials on youtube that will teach you the basics of blender or you can google about what Feyona mentioned. A simple google search for "how to scale in blender" or even in youtube will help you right away. And it applies to all the other tools as well.

To the above I would add that there are a couple start to finish beginner CAS tutorials in the tutorial section here. The start to finish accessory tutorial I wrote shows how to do basic steps in Blender.
