I have the mesh and the texture of the shoe. Everything looks all nice in S4S, but when I test the shoes in CAS they are a little slanted like they aren't really attached to the sim like normal shoes would be. I think it's something with the bones, but I'm not even sure. I'm super new to this. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi! This is a basic guide that covers the basics on how to properly import your items into game. Apart from that you should do the following, have you done all of it already?: - Weight transfer. - UV_1 (morphs, see video at the bottom of the 1st post).- vertex paint (so sliders and uv_1 work)

Thank you so so much! I was able to get it to work with my sim with those instructions.I have a new issue now tho. I can't seem to get the ankle to show. Not sure where I went wrong. It's like a little gap between the sim and the shoe.

The feet is missing. Maybe check your mesh again to make sure you did not accidentally delete the feet.

The feet is missing. Maybe check your mesh again to make sure you did not accidentally delete the feet. When I add the feet back in there, there turn black in game. I appended them then joined them to the shoe and the ankles still came out black, like black socks. Thanks for all this help. I really appreciate it.

Firstly, your polycount is too high. Over 10,000 faces is too much. Secondly, i noticed this Those two should be deleted. Also, i noticed that you do not have a Geom Skin modifier that should be located here: You also have 3 uv maps, the shoes and legs are not uv mapped together. You also do not have a uv-1 for your mesh You do not have LOD 1, 2 and 3 Your uv-0 is not in the right position in response to how you uv mapped it Once you fix these issues, it should work. But i would recommend you start all over and follow this tutorial but apply it to shoes instead.

All the points from Elegant Lily are valid but I would also add the following: The issue comes from when you joined your mesh with the foot. You first need to rename your uvmap from the shoe as uv_0 before joining both objects. That will solve it for the foot being black. Because by doing so when you merge the objects Blender will merge the uv maps with the same name into the same one. You also don't have a uv_1 for the shoe. As for the uv_0 issue it would be better to first create the uv_1 for your shoe before merging. But you can also simply re_create the uv_1 after the merging, it will works as well (it will though maybe change the uv_1 of the already existing ankle. You can also decide not to create a uv_1 for the shoe, it looks big enough I believe not to need to adapt with the size of the foot. Also concerning the uv_0 for the shoe itself you have mapped it where the additional parts for tops are located. So if you don't move it to the left, where the additional parts for shoes should ne located, you will get some textures from tops overlapping your shoes. You can find here how the uv_0 is patterned.
