Hello! I've been trying to learn how to make a mesh. I used another person's mesh as a base to work from, and tried to change it from a dress into a top. It looks right in sims 4 studio, but in game it has strange shadows over the legs and a weird texture over the sim's middle. I've checked the texture, and I can't find a problem there, so it must be the mesh. I don't know how to fix it, so if someone could give me advice, that would be great! simfileshare.net/download/264135/ <- That is the file

hi, welcome to the forums! Are you planing to share this modification? because you should ask the original creator first before doing so. You have to edit the shadow texture of this item, here's a tutorial that talks about it.

I'm not planning on sharing it, I was just trying to learn how to use blender which is quite tricky (I have so much more respect for people who make their own meshes now, sheesh, even just modifying it was hard). I'll look at the tutorial, thanks!

That problem is solved, now I have a new one. Which I also don't know how to solve :( It's doing strange things to pants and skirts,

What steps did you follow to modify the mesh?
Can you share the package and blend file?

What steps did you follow to modify the mesh? Can you share the package and blend file? I deleted the bottom part of the dress and then added in the nude top and bottom to fill in the holes. Then deleted parts of the nude top that were overlapping the shirt. I'll send the blender file as soon as I'm on the computer, I've already linked the package file.

Never mind, that's the old package, so I'll get a link for the new one as well

The problem is that you can't import a full body outfit into a top package. You have to clone a new base game top, and work with that mesh instead and only append the clothing that you want not the rest of the body or it will overlap just like you see in the pictures.

Okay, so the pants and skirts are fine now, but now the sim's arms are going through her body. I've tried fixing the slot rays.
