hi! i'm sorry, i'm not understanding what you're trying to say. Can you explain the issue better? If it's your first time opening the program, then s4s will take some time to recollect all the information from the game and that it's totally normal. Just wait until it's done and then you can use it normally.

My game has been patching for hours, but it hasn't even been my first time opening the program. However, I haven't played the Sims for months, so I hadn't opened it up in a long time. Could that be the reason why it's taking so long?

If Studio still shows the patching screen after Origin has finished patching, that means that Origin left behind some patch files that it usually removes. The patching screen in Studio shows a list of all patch files that it sees in your game folder. If you are sure that Origin is no longer updating your game, you can either manually remove all of the files listed in the patching screen or click the link to delete them.

So I had that exact game patch loading screen, but I lost internet access for quite some time while it was patching and I pressed the click here link. I am now unsure that there are still files that should have been removed. Is there any way to manually run a game patch?

Hi curiouspgeorge, You should probably repair your game just to be sure. To do so, right-click it in origin and select "Repair Game" from the popup menu.
