In Sims 4 all the CAS items are mapped onto a single composite image. Brujah posted a "map" of that image and this shows which part of the composite image should be used for any given CAS item. That is posted HERE. You can see a Sim body template HERE. Hair goes in the upper left corner: Your hair needs to be mapped in that space. If it is mapped anywhere else it will end up with Sim body parts textured on it. Your hair texture needs to be put in that place. If it is put elsewhere it will show up on the Sim's body. If the model's face is showing on your hair then your hair is mapped in a central location in the upper one half of the composite. That area is where the Sims's face goes and anything mapped there will end up with the Sim's face on it.

What I do is make a blank image 2048x4096 then copy the Sims 3 hair dds and paste it to the top left corner Make an alpha channel (in PaintShop go to channels and click the rectangle with a circle in it and an alpha appears) Copy the alpha channel from the Sims 3 dds and paste it in the top corner on the alpha channel like with the texture. Resize to 1024x2048 to cut loading time in S4S Then put on any textures you want That's how I do it anyway Edit: I see OM answered, I hadn't noticed - I'll leave the post up someone may find it useful

I'm trying to transfer this to the Sims 4 and I got the mesh in Blender, but it's all white? How do I get the texture from the sims 3 to the sims 4 version? Or just give the hair texture?

I followed the tutorial but when I go ingame to put the hair on my sim, every single skin detail comes off showing my maxis sim, the hair doesn't show up either

Are the cut numbers correct in Blender for your mesh?

I am having a hard time with step 8 of the tutorial. I've successfully transferred the weight from the EA mesh to the custom but after that its just a blur.Once I import into S4S it doesn't show the new mesh.
