Thanks Julie & Darkdata
@ Darkdata I have a Google blog account and it's not that great either. I have over 300 files I need to consolidate into one site, I just can't imagine doing this on a blog. The type of set up I am wanting is one similar to the BPS download format that is free (LOL).

There is one bump map per .package. If you want to use a different bump map for the painting you need to clone your item as custom content and overwrite the old bump map with a new one. Alternatively, you could add the extra bump and change the reference ID's so it was associated with the swatch you want it to go with. In the future Studio can allow the addition of extra bumps per .package as an alternate choice but that will never be the default because it not commonly needed or desirable.
msteaqueen, I haven't seen any good tutorial on converting from Sims 2 to Sims 4 either. I will write one and post in in the tutorial section here. OM, you just made my day! Doing the happy dance...

Beautiful OM! Love the recolors, too...
Is this a true statement?
All custom content and recolors created before Love version 2.4.0.5 will not be affective by the current update. To be able to use the design tool on meshes and recolors created prior to Love version 2.4.0.5 you must recreate the package.
Just completed recolors of two sets from TSR and the design tool worked. S4S is such a great tool, Thanks y'all!

Your statement that I "did not map the new mesh's shadow plane onto the blob sheet correctly" I understand that to mean my placement is off as demo in steps 8 & 9 and/or I need to create a new shadow?
Did not import the painting texture because I was not sure what do, my first thought was to follow the Sims 3 texture tutorial but wanted to check in here first. I will attempt to later on today. I know that Sims 2 cc's can be converted because I've seen some items. The problem is I have yet to find documentation for converting ST2 to ST3/4.
Thanks for your help, OM....

No problem OM I know you're busy... - I am attempting to convert Sims 2 custom content - The first picture is an image of the mesh I'm wanting to convert - I followed the steps up to Step 25, to recolor the object - Picture 2 is what I opened in Photoshop and I believe that it is the Sims 2 mesh used to create the mesh in pic 1, however - I knew at step 17, where I imported the mesh, that something was not right. - I recreated what I did to give you a visual of step 17. Note: I use a different Sims 4 mesh. Sims 4 mesh Step 17 result The tutorial I used to get the .obj & .txtr is for converting to Sims 3. Also, t here is a separate procedure for applying the texture to the mesh ( here, scroll down), I'm not sure how this translate when converting to Sims 4, is it the same? To say I'm dazed and confused is an understatement...but I hope this explanation is slightly clearer.

Have a problem, but it is not with this tutorial. My problem is getting the right TS2 mesh and hopefully someone can help. Using this tutorial to extract the Sims 2 mesh, went through this tutorial and instsead of getting this: I got this: I believe this is the Sims 2 game mesh (converted to Sims 4) used to make the mesh above. Can someone tell me where I went wrong?

A framed picture. I found two tutorials for extracting Sims 2 meshes here & here, which one do I use? Because I'm at the learning stage of "Don't know what I don't know" I really don't know what questions to ask other than how do I get started. Any and all help is appreciated....Thanks!

Can I use this tutorial to convert Sims 2 objects? I did make an attempt but failed. I believe it was because of the Sims 2 mesh extraction (I did use the .obj file), not the tutorial. Any suggestions?

OM, This is the first comprehensive tutorial that I have seen for creating a mesh, EVER. And although my struggles are real (LOL), I have learned more from your tutorials then I have from any of the other related resources available. I have a renewed appreciation for those who create for the Sims and I appreciate you, too! Thank you for taking the time to write and share this information!
