Hello ! This is my very first attempt of making an objet in the game, so I've tried something quite easy but I still have some issues, even if i read some tutorials and faqs on this site. I wanted to make a shower with no glass at all in order to be able to create a very modern bathroom. At first, the shower was not correctly placed, the sims came from the side and I want them to come from the front. So I rotated the shower in blender. I also changed the _FX_waterShower_0 position. Now I still have two problems, the water animation is not correct and the sim is badly placed. My other problem is that I want the shower to be automatly placed against a wall. I still don't know how to do that and I really would appreciate some help on these matters. My two pictures below show my two problems.

Sorry to come back again, but I still have some problems. I downloaded Blender version 2.76 and nothing worked, then I downloaded version 2.70 (I always uninstall Blender before installing a new version) and I have this message now. I'm not sure what I do wrong. Exporting a mesh from S4S is so easy, I can't mess it. I have windows 7 and I downloaded the 64 bits versions of blender. I also use the S4S Harmony. (**** One hour later) I've found it ! So I post here what happened to me in case someone does the same mistake I did. When I used the 2.78 version of Blender, I exported the meshes I needeed. After I changed Blender, I did not export the meshes again. It is just now that I realized S4S and Blender are linked (blender path in the settings). So when you install a new version of Blender, you have to export the meshes again from S4S, so the meshes files suit the new version of Blender. ITS WORKS !!! I'm so happy !

Hello ! I'm really new to create meshes, so I apologize for my complete lack of knowledge in this matter. I just downloaded the latest version of blender (release 2.78) and followed this tutorial. My exported file don't show in blender at all. I checked the user preferences for import-export S4. It wasn't done by default, but now it's ok. I also tried to export different objets (accessories, shower, etc.) from S4S but none of them appear in blender. This is what I get when I try to import an mesh into blender. Maybe it has something to do with the latest version of blender. Anyway, I'm quite confused.

First, thanks a lot for this tutorial. I use Gimp and this tutorial helped me to create my very first bump map, but I would like to add some little things. I'm using Gimp 2.8 and I didn't have the normalmap menu. For those like me, know that it's a plug-in you can download from the Gimp plug-in registry : bump map plug-in. It's only some files you have to copy, not a big deal. It works perfectly well and if you follow the tutorial given on this forum, you will have a perfect bump map for your object. Also, I would like to add something else. Now that with the latest version of Sim4Studio you can export the different files of a recolor (specular, diffuse, normal, etc) very easily, do it before replacing them. I had the surprised to discover while creating a new swimsuit, that the bump map had not the same size of the diffuse texture. While the diffuse texture is 1024x2048, the bump map is 1024x1024. This causes a very strange preview in game 'til I figured out what was the problem. So my advice when you do recolors, extract and check the texture files before doing your own. Anyway, thanks again for the tutorial. It was a great help for me.

Hello everyone ! Even if i subscribed to this forum some times ago, I never introduced myself. It is time to do so. I'm french and I'm a sims fan since almost the beggining, though I started to create mods only since the Sims 2. I didn't really like the Sims 4 when it has been released, maybe I expected too much of it. But now I'm back and I enjoy playing and creating for this game. By the way, I want to say a huge thank you to the Sims 4 Studio creators, developpers and even beta testers ! You made a fantastic job ! You keep it updated, you still doing improvements, and each time you do so, I say to myself "wow ! It's definitly better and better !". You're really great ! Thank you, thank you, thank you ! I didn't create a lot of things for the Sims 4, but here they are : Vlana's Sims. I do simple things for the moment being, but I hope to improve myself.
