I'm not really all that new here, but I've never introduced myself (so rude). Hi! AwfulArchdemon. I've spoken with most of the staff, and studied a bunch of tutorials, and applied them with Sims 4 Studio. S4S is the Tool I've been waiting for! It's only a matter of time before I figure out how to animate with it. I've learned how to make TV channels, and Textures, Meshes (thank gawd), and mess with bumpmaps, and shadows, and all of it was learned here, except TV channels (that was ModTheSims). That's a whole lot more than I could do a month ago. Starting to feel like a pro here, which is good, since I am college for this stuff. Ironically, you staff and contributors here will probably improve my grades. :p Thank you Sims4Studio.com! And a special thanks to orangemittems, MisterS, and Simista for all they've done. No matter what issues I run into with shadows and such, I have found a fix on the tutorials, and got quick responses from everyone, and am currently spending every second of every day making new clothes. Mod mod mod! 8D

Flora now? Man, lots of S4S' out there. I was using Alice. Flora has all the same options and more? I saw the tutorials. So, you and your wife mod the Sims in every way? Meshes, Textures, Animations...all that? Dude, I gotta get a wife like that! It'll be my profession when I graduate. I'm gonna go through the whole class you 2 made, and orangemittens has all kinds of helpful stuff going on here too, so this is basically my favorite site at this point. Mod, mod, mod! :D Thanks for everything, everyone. I'm gonna go make...something. Lots of stuff. Next task: Find out how to add my own pictures to the Painting Skill paintings sims paint themselves, like TS2. Even on PlayStation2 you could do that with the Eye-Toy for TS2. :-/

K.
I just tried it out with a shirt, but I ended up having a few remaining triangles at he bottom of the shirt, around the outside of the shirt. They were bits of "skin". How come? Everything else looked fine. So close...
Oh, and it seems I don't need to worry much about shadows when making a shirt, or at least, not a tank-top. Good stuff, but a skirt or dress will be a different story.

Yeah, I guess this isn't the smartest place to ask. "How to shorten a mesh in blender" :p
I hate Maya, but that's easily the best place to make anything. I love 3DS Max, and if all I have to do is delete vertices, I'll have no issues. And since I won't need to worry about UV mapping, I should be on Easy Street, unless there are a bunch of "special needs" to get TS4 to recognize the mesh.
Anyway, I'll give this a try in blender immediately, and if you have some easy way to use 3DS Max or Maya 2015, I'd be interested to see how you do it.
Thanks for being "that guy" who told me how to alter clothes. Will I need to do anything special for a shirt? If I shorten it, and shrink the bottom edge, will her body suddenly show up, like it does in your skirt tut?
Also, is your shadow tut made? I get the feeling I could figure it out with investigation, but I don't wanna go through the process thinking all's well, and see some ugly issue in-game after doing all that.

Bout time someone gave me a tutorial on this that I actually understand! I beat my head off the wall over this mesh thing! Will there be any issues porting meshes to 3DS Max or Maya? I have been unsuccessful, which is why I asked. If format conversions are still an issue, I'll just use Blender. You left some easy-ass instructions for it, afterall. Thanks Mister! :D

Yeah, you're gonna be seeing a lot of me now, mittens. :p If custom animations are gonna start somewhere, this seems the likely place. I'll be lurkin' all over these forums, improving my skills. Thanks for taking the time to post all those bones.
