I don't know what are you talking about. If this tutorial is not from our forum ask creator who made this tutorial about it. We don't use OBJ format in general for clothing. This is some personal thing that creator does.

A quick answer to all of your questions: because game is coded that way. I suggest following a tutorial from the forum, not from youtube. You will find a lot of useful information with all explanations to your questions written by developers of the tool or by people who have deeper understanding about how everything works. We do not know what other people say in their tutorials and why do they change the color, may be it's their personal preference. You need to ask a creator of that video about that. However, we can always help if you have questions after reading tutorials from our forum. Here is the list of all CAS tutorials. Explanation about groups (cut numbers). This is also a reply why you don't see any changes after importing your model in S4S. Explanation about UV mapping and why do you need to arrange everything according to the template

Create an empty .package (Tools -> Create empty package). Import extracted .binary resource on a Warehouse tab. Edit it and save the .package. Do not convert it into .world file, it is not needed. This .package will contain a resource that will override the same .binary file if you place this .package in Mods folder. I am not aware of any mod to paint the grass outside of the lot.

There are parts of this error report in Korean. No one from our staff speaks Korean. I suggest going over every single tip suggested in troubleshooting thread. There are more solutions that redownloading Studio, and each of them have to be tested. The first one is to repair the game, delete Documents/Sims 4 Studio folder and then try again.

You can batch export from warehouse tab, there is no way to batch import.

Blender 2.80 is not compatible with Sims 4 Studio. Append this scene in that Blender version that you use as a bridge in Studio.

Regarding that note "not to open in S4S or it will break". It is completely not true. I don't know why creator who used S4S at the first place would say this, unless they just don't want other people to use or edit that file.
I tried replacing sims head too, but having the same issue. I suspect that it is not possible to replace ingame head with your own mesh.

wkdstepchild game doesn't read the color from specular file. It treats this resource as it is coded to be treated. That purple color comes from something else.

Restart the computer. It happens sometimes. Resetting computer should help. Also, when you share .blend, share .package as well so if someone is willing to help and try can import them on their computer.
