Haha. Well, I do sort of feel like I am rolling a ball uphill.
I made some wallpaper, floors and now I am working on converting an object over from my Sims 2 stuff. I had some difficulty with blender not exporting one of my files properly, so moved on to a more simple decorative item to start. However, I am not all too familiar with blender and am now stuck trying to figure out how to reduce polys. If you have a tutorial on it, let me know...otherwise, I'm hitting google.

Thank you. I am already looking through tutorials and just trying to figure out what the heck I am doing! I haven't even installed any mods, so I have a lot to learn. Perhaps you can tell me, can you create sub-folders to keep things organized when you install them in the game? I made a few floors that I am trying them out, but they aren't showing up. Pretty sure it's because I created sub-folders...

Well, here I am, back from my hiatus and thinking about making some things for Sims 4. I feel like I have been out of the game too long and have a lot of catching up to do. This seems like a good place to start. If I do succeed in getting this creative ball rolling, I will be restructuring SimFreaks.com and moving the old Sims 1 Stuff into a sub-site. I just don't know the easiest way to start the ball rolling.
When I first started SimFreaks, all you could do was make walls and floors, so I made a ton of them, but then people started demanding Skins, which Ahn jumped on board with a start as our first skinner. Then the demand for objects, which we could only recolor at the time, which turned into me learning how to model in 3D.
In the past few years, I have been working with Patrick J Barrett III making games for XBox and Mobile apps, some of you may remember him as the lead designer for Sims 2 as well as the designer for Hot Date and Vacation for Sims 1. He left EA after Sims 2 and we have been working together ever since. I have also been in a relationship with "SimSlice" for over 3 years and find it quite ironic how The Sims brought so many people into my life, some of which I am still in contact.
And that is what brought me here today. Someone posted a picture of some new skins on one of their pages and I just had to see what was going on...suddenly feeling the bug to make things again.
